			<title>2011 Landmark Awards Knocked Us Out</title>
			<link>http://www.bluegrassprsa.org/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=330</link>
			<description>
Given the theme for the 2011 Landmarks Awards competition- Knockout Public Relations and Communications -the Muhammad Ali Center proved a fitting locale for the event's 29th annual awards dinner. With more than 100 awards presented this year across eight categories, it was clear to see Louisville's community of top-notch communications and PR professionals know how to deliver knockout work. One highlight at the October 18th main event
was the induction of veteran PR maven Dan Hartlage, a principal with Guthrie/Mayes, into the Landmarks of Excellence Hall of Fame. Another high point for the evening was the recognition of Mayor Greg Fischer as the 2011 Communicator of the Year. More than 200 guests attended this year's awards dinner. Landmarks is conducted by the PRSA Bluegrass Chapter and IABC of Kentucky to recognize outstanding PR and communications work. Entries for the annual competition are generally due in early August, with judging done by September and winners recognized in October, so watch for future details on how you can be part of this prestigious event. See the attached document for a list of all of 2011's Excellence, Merit and Honorable Mention award recipients.
